I left, didn't look behind,
Without grieving too much time,
To erase you from my mind,
To forget your love sublime.
And I followed the world's ways
Without purpose I strolled by,
Didn't miss the good old days,
For we parted didn't cry.
If I spent a long time there
I can really not discern,
But with longing and despair
To you quickly now return.
